About Course

Virtually on Your Own Path (VOP) -project creates personalized, authentic, immersive learning environments to promote students' digital, career opportunities and working life skills. In the VR environment, students may acquainted with different professions and the competencies required in them. The primary target group of the VOP project is those who have completed their primary school and are studying in a vocational school within the framework of secondary HOKS, including learners who speak Finnish as a second language as well as vocational changers, the unemployed and learners in preparatory programs and trainings for degree education. Students get acquainted with different professions both under supervision and independently, and develop their own digital skills. Teachers, instructors and career coaches also have access to the environment to guide and practice their own digital skills. Digital training is provided for students, teachers and instructors in navigating, guiding and studying in the VR environment. Project materials and publications are in Finnish.
