About Course

Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Realities (VR/AR/MR) play an increasingly important role in many areas of life and the economy, especially in the manufacturing industry. With the speed of technical developments and the mass of information, products and services available, however, it is difficult to keep track of things. How can you find out quickly and reliably which VAM solutions are the most useful and target-oriented for your needs? In the VAM Realities project, higher education institutions, companies, and business representatives from across Europe have joined forces to answers these questions. Our platform offers unique networking opportunities, maintains Europe’s largest network of experts in immersive technologies (VR/AR/MR) and provides access to 58 EU projects on the subject. All these features and many more are free to use for everyone: AI is playing an increasingly important role for the economy, which has triggered great interest, but also a high need for advice and learning among SMEs! At the same time, there is increasing pressure on the economy to use resources more efficiently, reduce CO2 emissions, increase environmental protection measures and generally make an active contribution to achieving the Green Deal goals. These are enormous challenges, especially in light of recent political, economic and military global developments. Many members of the VAM Realities network are affected by these developments, others research, advise and teach on them. Therefore, we are further developing the VAM Realities features and network by including the areas of AI and the Green Deal, and several smaller collaborations have already been launched! Six of the original project partners, together with eight new organisations and supported by 19 associated partners, submitted the new Erasmus+ Education Alliance “Green AI.M – Accelerating SME’s Green transition by adopting AI in Manufacturing industry” in March 2024. If approved, the project will start in autumn 2024 and strengthen the VAM Realities results and the network in these innovative areas.
